Lone Coyote
Diverse wildlife can be found all over Yellowstone National Park. In this instance, I was fortunate enough to come across a lone Coyote during late afternoon. It walked through the fresh snow cover ground nonchalantly, most likely looking for an evening snack.
The snow was a true treat to witness. The day before had barely any snow, the following day had absolutely zero. I was very lucky to be in the park during such a dramatic time. The snow sat heavy on all of the trees in the park and graced every bit of the ground, providing a wonderful environment to capture such an interesting hunter in action. The evergreens in the background provided a nice contrast to the Coyotes thick tan coat, while the field grass added complimentary texture to the scene. I hope you enjoy this wildscape photograph of one of the parks medium sized K-9 hunters!
