Three weeks before the melt

A Storm Lit Ending

Early March began an epic transition of weather and landscape. Storm clouds began bringing light rain instead of snow. The snow would stay around for another few weeks, but it was beginning to dwindle quickly. The ground below was starting to peak through to show the world it was finally ready for sunshine and rain again. The image above was made possible due to these transitioning conditions. The large rocks were lit by warm sunlight that came from behind me. The darkness in the background was an approaching storm bringing light rain. Each element  contrasted the other and came together in a moment in time to create a scene that was complimentary and interesting.
