Carved by Water and Time

Stunning naturally carved holes rest through out this section of the Presque Isle River in Michigan's Porcupine Mountains State Park. The photograph points upstream from within the gorge, providing an intimate look at the holes and how water smoothly arches over them.

Technical details: Canon 7D, Canon 24-105L lens (@24mm), 3-stop neutral density filter, circular polarizer filter, ISO 100, F/11, Two image blend, one for foreground and shadows, one for the brightly lit trees at the top left.
