Country Roads and Color Tours

On a nice day trip, Robin and I found a perfect back country road to drive down to enjoy the fall colors before the rush of winter. This road can be found just past the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive of the Sleeping Bear Dunes NLS. The road doesn't access any of the great lookouts of the scenic drive, but we found it much more enjoyable. The winding stretch featured in the photograph was too good to just drive through, I had to stop to take a photograph that captured the overwhelming feeling of peace and relaxation we were experiencing.

I wanted to post this photograph today because of the drastic change in weather we have experienced the last two days. I hope everyone enjoys and can think back to only a week ago when the colors were roaring and the weather was pleasant.

Canon 6D, Canon 24-105L (@105mm), CPL Filter, ISO 100, F/16, blend of two images, one for shadow detail and color control and one for highlight control.
