The clouds this day were quite nice with about 70% cloud coverage and just a bit of blue showing through. I tried taking a few mildly long exposures (30-130 Seconds) in color, but the clouds were just not moving enough to make a colored photograph pop. I thought about it for a while and started to pay more attention to the direction the clouds were moving towards. The clouds were moving strait out towards Lake Superior. This almost always makes for an opportunity to create powerful imagery using a very long exposure, the only catch is the need for an interesting foreground element. Good thing the staple of Black Rocks is a very large Black Rock that stands out more than anything else in the whole area. I decided to use this rock as my main foreground element to stand strong against the moving clouds of the background. I hope everyone enjoys.
