Ice Caves

This is Robin Ostrowski and I at the Gill's Pier Ice Caves  near Northport, MI the day before the local news turned it into a tourist explosion. This was just before sunrise and as good as they ever looked. Before the foot prints, the blood from people being dumb, the dog poo and everything else. I hope everyone enjoys.

  1. I am a travel lover and have great passion to travel around the beautiful attractions; especially nature attractions. Last weekend I went to bus tour to new york city and used to visit there Niagara Falls that is one of the natural wonders of the world. Now I wish to visit this Ice Caves in upcoming winter. Guide me what time will be best to visit this?

    1. Hi David, the ice caves here are at Gill's Pier in Northern Michigan's Leelanau County. The best chance you will have to see this happen will be in late February and early March. The ice caves are a rare occurrence however. I have never seen them like this in Lake Michigan before. We can only hope for something so interesting to happen next winter. Take care.
