Michigan's Upper Peninsula - A World Autumn Treasure

Michigan is truly an area of endless beauty. The people who decide to live in Michigan year around know how brutal winter can be, but we stick it out each year because of the riches we get to enjoy Spring through Fall. The Upper Peninsula of our State is a world treasure during Autumn when each and ever deciduous tree transforms and puts on an epic display of warm color.

I was born in Michigan and still make my home here. I choose to push through winter each year to have a deeper appreciation of the seasons that make the Northern States so special. I have found a few areas in particular that display Autumn foliage in a way few places on earth could compete with. The Porcupine Mountains State Park and The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. These two parks have boundless potential year around, yet hold something indescribable during the changing of leaves in Autumn.

I hope everyone enjoys these photographs I captured during the Autumn of 2015 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Please feel free to ask any general questions as well as technical questions about locations and photographic technique.

I am planning a Workshop for Autumn 2016, where I will bring the participants to many of my favorite locations to witness and photograph epic displays of nature at its best. Please E-Mail me at julian_bunker@yahoo.com if you have an interest in joining me! I will be posting dates for the trip in the near future if enough people show interest in the Workshop!
