Michigan's Upper Peninsula - A World Autumn Treasure

Michigan is truly an area of endless beauty. The people who decide to live in Michigan year around know how brutal winter can be, but we stick it out each year because of the riches we get to enjoy Spring through Fall. The Upper Peninsula of our State is a world treasure during Autumn when each and ever deciduous tree transforms and puts on an epic display of warm color.

I was born in Michigan and still make my home here. I choose to push through winter each year to have a deeper appreciation of the seasons that make the Northern States so special. I have found a few areas in particular that display Autumn foliage in a way few places on earth could compete with. The Porcupine Mountains State Park and The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. These two parks have boundless potential year around, yet hold something indescribable during the changing of leaves in Autumn.
