Laughing Whitefish Falls

Falling

       I decided to visit Laughing Whitefish Falls on September 29th during an overcast day to use the lighting to my advantage. My good friend of mine, Dennis Loy - another fine wilderness photographer, met me on location an hour later to also take advantage of the fine lighting conditions. I wanted to photograph this waterfall in a way that had never been done before. I came prepared with waist high waders, they allowed me to photograph from several areas that otherwise would have been inaccessible. The trip was a success, both Dennis and I were able to capture a few flattering photographs of the Fall before the onslaught of rain and dark clouds came. I hope you enjoy. 

       This will be my last post for a week or more. I am leaving Marquette to travel throughout the Upper Peninsula. I aim to photograph all the inspirational beauty I can find in the peak weeks of fall. I hope everyone enjoys the changing of the fall foliage as much as I do. Make sure to go out as often as possible to look at the wonderful display of hues put on by nature. It goes quickly and will be over before we know it, so take advantage of the free time you have!!
